I went to Rimini's Italian Restaurant today for the first time with a friend who goes there frequently.I have heard good things about Rimini"s and my friend suggested going there for lunch. I ordered a spinach salad and was far from impressed - dressing so so and no boiled egg. The food was served in a timely fashion but my server must have been having a bad day by judging her attitude. She brought me my check talking on her cell phone. She never asked how my salad was and didn't even thank me. My friend had tipped and I payed. I was brought my cash change but not the coin. She was still on her cell phone. I asked for my coin change and got it. Had it not been for her attitude I would not have asked for the coin. Had my friend not tipped, the coin would have been all she would have received. I won't go back.

My review is strictly about their take out service. Food is always good, that is not the problem. I ordered a lasagna for 2, chicken piccata for 2, salad for 4, and a cheesesteak sub. I paid over $150 to feed 5 people. I get home and the take out servings for 2 look like what you would get in restaurant for 1 serving. Small, round take out platter. Way little food for what I spent. My recommendation is not take out, but eat in. Talked to manager, said that was the policy and they recently had a price increase. I felt that for sure.

I was surprised at the depth of the lunch menu, as it's not just sandwiches. We enjoyed generous and hearty portions of cheese ravioli, pasta carbonara, and Chicken pasta natale all from the economically priced lunch menu. All were tasty and interesting. My sauce was a tad acidic, but was balanced well with the sweet onions, wilted spinach, tasty chicken and earthy mushrooms. Lunch was served with a wonderful crusty bread, with seasoned oil for dipping. I thought the oil was rather bland. The wait staff was exceptional and friendly. She brought my friend a birthday cannoli with a candle from her car! So thoughtful! Will definitely return, as the food was delicious and expertly served with flair in a pleasant atmosphere. The photo is of my generous pasta natale leftovers! 10/31/24 Lunch Returned to Reminis today bc I wanted to introduce a friend to the place. It was Halloween, so a few of the servers were appropriately dressed! I had the same dish as before, Chicken Pasta Natale and it was outstanding! The sauce was a tad sweeter, and so wonderfully balanced. The dish is made up of sauce with onions, mushrooms, spinach, pieces of tomato, and chicken, which was so much more

Lasagna is the dish to get! Most other dishes I have tried or friends have tried have been ok. We go back mainly for the lasagna with meat sauce, which they only have sporadically, and you have to ask for it (I recommend asking for the meat sauce). Other dishes seem to be low on the seasonings, but that may be a plus for some. The service each time I go is just ok. Not award winning, but also not horrible. The atmosphere is the same, just ok. It's normal. Nothing that will wow you but also nothing that will make you say you don't want to come back. Overall a good pick, especially for family style portions, large parties, and Italian food in Roanoke, VA.

Where to start!?? The drinks were AMAZING! We had 3 lemon drops and they were by far the best lemon drops I ever had. Food was awesome, BIG portions so expect to go home with left overs. The owner and staff were so nice and welcoming !! We were in town from Cary NC and this place was the highlight of our trip. It’s hard to find good Italian restaurants where we are from . Reminis hit home and reminded me of how my dad cooked growing up in a big Italian family. We will be back :))
